Not called to be comfortable . Writer Santa Fe, TX

by Jamie Zenteno

Let me first start off with God doesn't call us to be comfortable.

Comfortable in our way of living, our social status, our environmental surroundings, our workplaces, or even in ministry.

I want to elaborate what I mean as comfortable in the text of my writing today. God doesn't want us to be so content with where we are in life that we have no further need to talk to people about God, keep seeking after him, keep praying for ways to reach people, to grow in our walk with him....or in our callings.

We can either embrace change that is presented before us OR we can whine about it. Either way things do change sometimes.

God has brought to our attention something that we really don't know what to think about it. Do we do it? Do we not?

Then I'm thinking to myself, but God I'm comfortable!!! I'm comfortable with finally....this....and finally that.....and what about that what do you want us to do about that huh God, HUH? In my sassy human thinking. (Just keeping it real, I'm sure you've all thought it once or twice.)

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you

Lol but you know God. He whispers. He whispered to me that he hasn't called me to be comfortable. No matter what I need to remember that HE is in charge not me.

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

So I don't really know yet if this thing is from God or if its justthere. Something we are praying.
